The Incharge of this office is the Revenue officer who gives suggestions to the Deputy Commissioner about the works to be carried out by this section.
The following works are carried out in this section:-

1.To provide the compensation for the damage to the crops caused by floods/heavy rain/hailstorms.
2.Not to sow crops on account of water logging.
3.To give compensation to the crops due to the damage caused by the fire to the crops.
4.To provide compensation on account of fire to the human live stock property or house.

The persons suffering the said loss will lodge report in the diary of the concerned Patwari and register FIR in the concerned Police Station and along with these documents will submit affidavit to this office and an application. This application is sent back to this office after completing the enquiry by the concerned Sub Divisional Magistrate and the Tehsildar after that this case is sent to the Punjab govt. by this office. On the receipt of the relief from the Punjab Govt. the persons concerned are disbursed the relief amount by the concerned Sub Divisional Magistrate.
In the case of human deaths due the natural calamities the applicant should also submit the death certificate of the deceased and the post mortem report. Regarding the loss of animals due to the natural calamities the certificate should be got issued by the veterinary doctor of the area mentioning the cause of deaths.
5.This branch compiles the monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly report regarding the internal audit objection of the pending objections during the audit of the office of the Deputy Commissioner and the recovery reports regarding the loans taken by the farmers for seeds, fodder fertilizer and pump sets. The cases of people who have expired or changed their place of residence are filed off on the receipt of the reports from the Sub Divisional Magistrates. Besides, the reports regarding the agricultural loans and sign conservation are also prepared and sent to the government from time to time.
